In a hamok under the apple trees, in a deck chair under the sun, on the grass under a cherry tree, on a cover close to the river or simply in a bed, whatever the form you chose, you'll be able to put it into practise here, we provide you all the necessary competition equipments.

Either in a short digestive walk (see gastronomy) or in a long hike, the beautiful landscapes of the region will delight you.

The Lodging is located on the circuit GR 590 which will lead the most courageous to Ornans, Arc-et-Senans, Baume les Messieurs, or more modestly to the Loue and Lison rivers which flow 2 km below Amondans. Several horse centers propose horse riding or walks with or donkeys in the area.

Franche-Comté is well-known for its cheese, delicatessen, smoked meats and saussages, and wine of Jura, with the famous vin jaune. The Lodging is located in an old wine grower house, and is 40 km away from vineyard of Arbois.

The middle part of the Loue river, including the famous course la Piquette is well-known by fly fishers in the entire world. Largesized trouts and graylings are as numerous as they are mistrustful...


The easiest way to see the trouts of the Loue is to surprise them from a anoe or kayak.

the river, deeply embanked, can be sailed by everybody, even beginners, and will deliver you some out-of-the-way landscapes.

Canyoning, via ferrata

Several associations propose canyonning and via ferrata courses, including an initiation course to canyoning in the Amondans canyon.

Adventure trails

For those who are not suffering from dizziness... They will be able to climb in the trees, to fly over the Loue river tied to a rope, or explore an old stronghold .

Easiest trails are proposed for kids.

Free flying

The abrupt relief of the region is suited for take-off, especially Mont Poupet (20 km away from Amondans) where is based a free flying and hang gliding school.

Speleology, caving

The calcareous soil of the region is rich of all kind of cavities. The vernau, a 30 km long gallery which linksDéservillers (8 km from Amondans) to Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne attracts speleologists from all Europe.

Beginners may start to visit touristic caves of Osselle or Poudrey

Skiing, snowshoeing

In Bolandoz (8 km from Amondans), you will find the first nordic ski trails.

Alpine ski is possible in Metabief (50 km from Amondans).

Museum and buildings

Some historic buildings, such as the Saline Royale (Royal saltworks) at Arc-et-Senans which was added to the List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1982, or citadelle de Besançon deserve that you abandon for a moment the wild landscapes...
